Addictive stories and embarrassing tell-alls from the front lines of online business. Written by reformed girlboss who learned a better way. Read by 10K+ consenting adults.
We’ve already talked about the reasons having a well-read newsletter will help you. To sell things But there’s something everybody wants that trumps every one of those things. We want to know that our work matters. It’s personal. We want to know that our ideas are reaching people, that they are listening, that our work is impacting their lives in small and big ways. That’s my favorite part of having a newsletter. A subscriber recently told me, “Your work has mattered to me. It makes me feel so courageous.” I hear that a lot. Today I am here to remind you that your work matters too, and to encourage you to take your turn, whether or not that includes enrollment in +1KSUBS before tonight’s final deadline. To start that Substack. To write that song. To take a risk and answer the call, whatever it may be. It won’t be easy. There’ll be lots of times you’ll want to quit. Do it anyway. It’s personal and it matters. It matters even if your project doesn’t make a million dollars (or $1). It matters even if three years from now you want to do something completely different. It still matters. It matters because it’s yours—your song, your idea, your words. No one else in the world can make it. One day when I’m looking back over my life (a long, long time from now 🤞), I want to be able to say that I took my turn, that I didn’t ignore or logic away the voice in my head telling me to go for gold. I hope you will too. If going for gold involves getting more eyeballs on your work i.e. growing your newsletter so that your work reaches more people and creates the impact you dream of, I can help. The +1KSUBS bonus package (including an extended payment plan) ends tonight. Whatever dream your inner voice is whispering, I hope you go for it. The cheerleader in your corner, XOT
